Early Years Pupil Premium
Early Years Pupil Premium
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is paid to childcare providers to provide extra support for your child. EYPP can be used to improve teaching and learning facilities and resources to impact positively on your child’s progress and development. Ticking yes to the questions may enable your chosen provider to receive the EYPP.
Your child will be eligible for the Early Years Pupil Premium if you are in receipt of one or more of the following:
• Universal Credit
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
OR the child has:
• been looked after by the local authority for at least one day
• been adopted from care
• left care through special guardianship
• a child arrangement order
How do I claim?
If you are in receipt of one of the above, please complete the EYPP application section on the Parental/Guardian Declaration Form (Funding Form), please speak to the Nursery Office staff if you have any questions about this.
We can use this additional funding to improve the quality of the early years education that we provide for your child. This could include, for example, additional training for our staff on early language, investing in partnership working with our colleagues in the area to further our expertise, or supporting staff in working on specialised areas such as speech and language.
Did you know:
If your child is in our Big Nursery, your EYPP entitlement can be used on their extended day to allow them to stay until 3pm, instead of the usual 2pm finish.
