- Everyone has mental health — it can be good or poor, just like physical health
- It can change over time depending on life circumstances
- Good mental health doesn’t mean always being happy — it means being able to manage ups and downs
Mental health and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do in our nursery.
-
We create a calm, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued and understood. Through consistent routines, caring relationships and thoughtful support, we help children develop confidence, resilience and the ability to express their feelings.
-
We work in close partnership with families, recognising that strong relationships make a real difference. We listen, offer support without judgement and help families access advice or guidance when needed. We aim to be a trusted and approachable source of support.
-
We also place great importance on the wellbeing of our staff. We promote a positive and open culture where people feel supported, respected and able to talk about their own wellbeing. We encourage teamwork, reflection and balance so staff can thrive in their roles.
Supporting mental health is not an add-on for us — it is a core value that underpins how we care, how we teach and how we work together every single day
